PRESIDENT'S CORNER

SOCIETY OF RETIRED
U.S. Army Finance Noncommissioned Officers
RAFINCO

Welcome to the RAFINCO Web Site.

The Society of Retired U.S. Army Finance Noncommissioned Officers (RAFINCO) was formed to foster camaraderie and to maintain contact amongst retired (and active duty retirement eligible (20 years service)) Army Finance NCOs.  Your membership in RAFINCO entitles you to the Society’s periodic Newsletter, Membership Roster, participation in changes to the Constitution and electing Society Officers, and partaking in the planning for and/or attending the bi-annual reunions.  To become a member of RAFINCO, you can download the Membership Application from this site and you can mail the completed form to the RAFINCO Secretary/Treasure at the address shown on the application form.

We formed RAFINCO as a separate and distinct non-profit association.  It is lead, managed, and run solely by Army Retired Finance NCOs.  As a matter of convenience and cost effectiveness, we hold reunions jointly with RAFINO, the Officers Society.  There are advantages of holding joint reunions.  Among them, of course, are better deals (savings), cheaper arrangements, and greater flexibility due to the greater number of attendees for the reunions, which we hold every two years (even years).  Thus, are charter of fostering camaraderie and maintaining contact extends to the retired Army Finance Officers that we may have had an occasion to serve with.  The joint reunions generate positive energies as NCOs and Officers meet on common ground sharing past experiences and renewing old acquaintances.

As a non-profit organization, dues are minimal and along with donations cover the expenses of printing/mailing of Newsletters and Membership Rosters, necessary administrative costs, and reunion planning and execution.  The Newsletter is an informative account of the current business of RAFINCO, articles from the membership, TAPS for our departed members of the Corps, and letters from the members, spouses and “old timers.”

It’s always amazing to read and observe the talent and achievements among us retirees as a result of transitioning from the Army to civilian life and new careers.  The variety of achievements is far ranging.  Among them, we have Teachers, School Principles, Chief Executive Officers, Consultants, Accountants, Directors, Advisors, Speakers, Agents, Ranchers, Farmers, and a host of business Proprietors.

The achievements of NCOs after military retirement coupled with their military experiences make the dialogues at the reunions simply an enjoyable and rewarding event.  It would be interesting to hear of the highlights of your pre and post-retirement journeys.

Again, welcome to RAFINCO—it’s your association for maintaining linkage with your military career as an Army Finance NCO!  Please take the time to join RAFINCO.
