RAFINCO
WELCOME,
Fellow Finance NCO,
It is
with great pleasure that I welcome you to the
“family.” Most of us think of the Finance Corps
as our family and no matter what we do or where
we go, it’s always nice to stay in touch with
one another. We are a unique and special
group. We look forward to a lasting and
enlightening relationship.
We
publish a Newsletter four times a year and a
complete roster of the RAFINCO membership twice
a year. The Newsletters cover January-March,
April-June, July-September, and
October-December. The RAFINCO membership
rosters are sent at the end of April and
October.
Like
any organization, it takes the whole group to
keep everything going. As the
Secretary/Treasurer, I can use your help with
articles for the Newsletter; war stories,
something about your vacations, or just anything
in general like “what I’ve been doing lately.”
That becomes extremely important to our aging
population. But more importantly, if you
move, I need your new address. And, if
you change your email address, I’ll need the new
one.
Every
two years we have a reunion. Actually, we
join with
the retired officers (RAFINO) and have a joint
RAFINO, RAFINCO reunion. The last one was in
October 2008 in Branson, MO and the next one
will be in September 2010 in Tacoma. WA. All of
the previous reunions have been sponsored by
RAFINO and we provide as much support as we
can. The roles will be reversed for the Tacoma
reunion – the NCO’s are the hosts with support
from RAFINO. We plan to make it the best ever!
As
always, new members are constantly being
recruited. If you know of anyone, retired or
still on active duty but retirement eligible,
give them a membership application. There is a
blank application in every Newsletter. By the
way, eligibility also includes members of the
Reserves and National Guard who have retired or
are retirement eligible.
Enclosed are the last two Newsletters and the
latest edition of the RAFINCO membership roster.
